About
Dr. Lidwine Meffo
I grew up believing that service is a daily practice, not a title. Years later I opened Meffashion in New Jersey and learned how a new style can restore a woman’s confidence. That small shop welcomed neighbors from many cultures. I listened. I learned. I carried those lessons with me when my work expanded.
My path has since crossed more than one hundred countries. I have helped plan high level gatherings during the UN General Assembly, coached young entrepreneurs, and sat with mothers who simply wanted a safe school for their children. Two Lifetime Achievement honors from the President of the United States recognized this journey, but what stays with me are the faces of the people we served.
Through The Smile Foundations, our team has stocked new libraries, delivered health kits, and taught practical skills in villages and cities. I am fluent in French and English, and I keep my heart close to home in Englewood, New Jersey. When I am not speaking or writing, I am usually packing books, sketching a new idea, or planning the next workshop.
My work has one aim. Dignity. For women. For children. For every person who is ready to rise.
